Mission Statement: ISF creates mission opportunities for people to share the Gospel through their gifts and talents in sports and recreation.
Vision Statement: ISF envisions a world where an abundance of responses and resources would ensure that every request for sports mission volunteers around the world would be met.
We also specialize in mobilizing college- and university-based teams. We hope you find an opportunity that fits you or your organization, and join our growing team of volunteers.
When you serve with ISF you can expect several things. First, when you fill out a form from this website or contact us, a staff member will be in touch with you within the day. You will be matched with the project that best fits your situation. Your team leader will help you with fundraising and general preparation for your project. ISF will be with you every step of the way, and will handle all the details such as food, lodging, transportation, and airline reservations. Once on the mission field, you can trust that our leadership will work hard to insure you have a safe and meaningful experience as you seek to change the world through sports.
For 29 years, ISF has been mobilizing people, just like you, who have a heart for people and a thirst for adventure. We will help you use your love for sports, along with the talents and abilities God has given you to fulfill His commandment to go to all nations.
Sports Mission ProjectsAt ISF the safety of our volunteers is of premier importance. And, while there are many variables involved in international travel, we purchase comprehensive travel insurance for all our volunteers and work closely with our international partners to insure that all our teams are safe and secure. We also offer additional insurance options to cover the possibility of cancellation due to unforeseen events.
Sports Mission ProjectsThe story of ISF begins nearly 30 years ago. Missionaries serving people around the world realized that sports was an incredible tool for developing relationships in cross-cultural settings. However, there always seemed to be a shortage of sports-minded volunteers to go and help. God began to draw people together to form this Federation specifically to recruit, train and mobilize sports volunteers.
What started out with just three teams and one staff member in 1993, has grown into an incredible network of like-minded staff and volunteers. We now have 18 staff members in six countries and several states here in the US and there is always room for more! Let us know if you have any interest in being part of a dynamic growing team.

I am beyond excited to serve with International Sports Federation. My heart has been touched by the way they use sports around the world to share the Gospel. I know my players that have gone on an ISF project have been profoundly impacted and it is my goal to get as many players as possible to go on a trip before they graduate.
I had the priviledge to go with my son on an ISF basketball project to Madagascar. To say it was a life changing experience would be an understatment. I literally saw my son change right in front of my eyes. He and I both came away from the trip with a new appreciation for sports as a tool for missions as well as a better world view.
I was at a pivotal time in my life when I discovered ISF. I had no idea that sports missions even existed. I have loved and played soccer all my life and to be able to use it for missions has been amazing. I would tell you that if you have any desire to go on a sports mission trip with ISF to do it!
